  • Warp yarns are exposed to sun, their size is very important for durability in the elements.

  • Large denier warp yarns make this cloth suitable for use in sails that see highest UV exposure.

  • High Mass Fiber Weave durability is maximized by high mass warp yarns, providing resistance to tear, abraision and general wear and tear.

  • 250 Denier warp yarn in 6.68 oz, 300 for 7.38 oz, 400 for 7.88 / 8.88 / 9.88 oz, 500 Denier for 10.88 and 11.88oz.

7.88, 8.88, 9.88 have large 400 Denier warp yarns. Such massive yarns maximize resistance to UV degradation, tear, breaking and abrasion. Performance Cruise styles, shown above, have finer weave and higher yarn counts. The higher number of yarn linkages between Warp and Fill yarns maximizes bias stability over fabric life.
